Ever wonder what a dog experiences when chasing a ball? Julie Andreyev, Simon Overstall and the Vancouver Experimental Theremin Orchestra will perform EPIC-Tom, a live animation and soundscape produced in collaboration with Tom, Andreyev’s canine collaborator. Tom’s vocal talents and athleticism are explored by Andreyev, and Overstall to present an outlook on canine emotion and creativity. During the performance, Andreyev and VETO play theremins and Overstall mixes recordings of Tom’s voice, and his movements, using custom software.

The Vancouver Experimental Theremin Orchestra (VETO) was formed by the participants in a theremin-building workshop held at VIVO Media Arts Centre in Vancouver, BC in the summer of 2011. VETO was formed out of and continues to be supported by the Education Program at VIVO Media Arts Centre. You will find us on Facebook!
