LMA residency artist Graham Brown's Big Dot Haiku is now installed in the show SHOUT OUT!, at the Roundhouse Community Centre. Some 150 4th and 5th grade students collaborated on a poetry project for World Poetry Day in March, installed initially at Sunset Community Centre, it is now installed at the Roundhouse Community Centre. "For me what I am playing with is a comment by TS Eliot where he says that the words that a writer writes are not necessarily the words the reader reads. I like that idea!" "The other idea is from Patrick White's novel The Tree of Man, - He would write a poem of life, of all life, of what he did not know, but knew." Each sign represents each class, and will rotate each classes poems, the classes varied from 25 to 30 students from three different schools. SHOUT OUT! runs May 1st to May 7th.
