One day while in studio at Aberthau Mansion - West Point Grey Community Centre, LocoMotoArt residence artist Graham Brown had a conversation with Danita Noyes, Arts Programmer, about some unused Big Dot text signs that were in storage. This sparked interest and Graham set off to produce a moving text poetry installation. The project expanded when Danita Noyes and Lorrie Wager thought it would be a good addition to the World Poetry Day installations to offer workshops to the local schools in collaboration with another Park Board artist in residence, Lori Weidenhammer. Moberly, Henderson, and Trudeau elementary schools came to Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre over a five week period and Ms. Weidenhammer led the students to create an individual Haiku poem and collage. Graham entered each of the 150 individual poems into the Big Dot system. The collages and Big Dot were combined into an exhibition at the Sunset Community Centre. The children also wrote a word they had just learned onto colourful leaves. These were also included in the exhibition.
